If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this Service. The materials contained in this Service are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and BookDeep.
Permission is granted to access and use BookDeep's AI-powered book analysis service for personal, educational, non-commercial use only. When you purchase a book analysis ($5 per book), you receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access that specific analysis indefinitely. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

Analysis typically completes within 5-10 minutes. You will receive an email notification when your analysis is ready. Once purchased, you retain permanent access to your book analysis.
When you create an account with us, you must provide information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account on our Service.
You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your password. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.
The Service and its original content (excluding Content provided by users), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of BookDeep and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both Switzerland and foreign countries.
Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of BookDeep.
You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to all files, documents, and content you upload to BookDeep. By uploading content, you confirm that:
BookDeep is not liable for any copyright infringement by users. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates intellectual property rights and to terminate accounts of repeat infringers. BookDeep accepts payments via credit card (processed securely through Stripe). The current price is $5 per book analysis. By making a purchase, you agree to the following:
BookDeep uses artificial intelligence to analyze books and generate insights. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. You acknowledge and agree that:
Important: BookDeep is a study aid, similar to SparkNotes, CliffsNotes, or tutoring services. We expressly disclaim all liability for any consequences arising from academic misconduct, plagiarism, or violations of institutional policies. Use of our AI analysis tools does not guarantee academic success, improved grades, or exam performance. The Service should supplement, not replace, your own reading, critical thinking, and original work. You are solely responsible for how you use the information provided and for ensuring compliance with your institution's academic integrity policies.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL BOOKDEEP OR ITS SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF DATA OR PROFIT, OR DUE TO BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ACADEMIC FAILURE, POOR GRADES, DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS, COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT CLAIMS, OR ANY OTHER CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF BOOKDEEP OR A BOOKDEEP AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE HAS BEEN NOTIFIED ORALLY OR IN WRITING OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to BookDeep in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim (i.e., $5 per book purchased). Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
You agree not to use the Service to:
We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, abuse of the Service, or violation of applicable laws.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. However, you will retain access to any book analyses you have already purchased, unless termination was due to copyright infringement or other serious violations. These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of BookDeep shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Switzerland. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts and waive any objection to the venue of any proceeding in such courts.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
